Elite Academy

Michigan Stars Elite is excited for the inaugural 2022 season of the Elite Academy League (EA). The EA league is a standards-based boys league composed of 65+ clubs across the country. Our conference, Mid- America, is composed of 10 EA clubs. EA provides its member clubs with a national platform to offer a full development model and pathway with top competition and exposure.
Michigan Stars Elite is currently the only club in the metro area and this side of the state to gain acceptance into this league, allowing us to continue to offer the highest level of competition through regional and national play, national showcase events and MLS talent ID opportunities.

By unifying the clubs within the conference, the EA has adopted and maintained several of the defining standards created inside the US Development Academy, with flexibility in two key areas: 1) permission for all players to participate in High School soccer and 2) revising the substitution rules to encourage clubs to better utilize their player pools, especially when showcasing their players to college coaches.

Club vs. Club

The Elite Academy embraces a competitive club vs club format designed to have all U13-U19 teams playing against another club’s U13-U19 teams on the same day at the same location. This means all of our Elite Academy teams from U13-U19 will play at the same venue against the same club in their respective age group. Typically, teams will play two games over the course of a weekend. Therefore, we will have a club vs club gameday against one club on a Saturday, for example, then a club vs club game day against another club on a Sunday.
